About:Beijing Capital Airport T3

Can I meet a Friend from Beijing at the Airport if I just have a 4 hour transit stop?

I am flying from Frankfurt to Tokio with 4 hour stop in BJ..
Could I meet a friend from BJ if he comes to the airport without me having a visa for China?

Yes, you can do that. You can apply for a stay permit at the immigration in the airport to leave the airport.

Hello Andreas, Did you get the stay permit. As I am traveling to tokyo from new delhi and have a lay over of 22 hours at beijing airport. Being a Indian national can I meet my friends outside, can I get stay permit for less than 24 hours (India is not inculding in 72 hours trasit visa free scheme).. can you guide me ?

I called embassy here in Uk they said no... and air china said no u have to stay at airport only. m little confuse now.

I have Indian passport by the way.... so they will count me indian and I am travelling from new delhi to narita. with stop over to beijing

unfortunatly china immigration will not issue you 72 hours visa. last month i had my friend with me who was indian passport holder they didin't allow him ,i m canadian citizen they didn't ask me a single question.
