I am an US citizen. I have been living in Turkey for the past year. I am planning on moving to China to teach English. And I need to get a z type. My question is, can I apply for a Z type while I'm in Turkey? I have all the necessary documents for the application and also I have a resident permit here in Turkey.

You can apply it in Turkey and you need to go to the Chinese embassy in Turkey to apply on your own with all your documents and your resident permit.
