About:

The easiest way to get putuoshan from ningbo or Hangzhou?

I am going to visit Putuoshan in this Dec with my 2 little daughters. The first board in Hangzhou,I will spend 3 days in Hangzhou and then go to Shanghai. I search in internet,there are many ways to get Pu tuo shan but I decided to choose two option city, Ningbo or Hangzhou as a depart city to get there. Because I bring my 2 little daughters, can you give the best option to pu tuo shan from ningbo or Hangzhou? And what you recommended to get there by bus or by train? What you recommended hotel area to stay in Pu tuo shan? Is it enough just stay one night in pu tuo shan? Thanks

No direct transportation is available either departing from Ningbo or Hangzhou. Here is the way for your reference anyway:
Fron Ningbo: you can take a direct bus at local North Bus Terminal to Shenjiamen. Putuo. Then take a bus or taxi to Banshengdong Dock to catch a ferry to the scenic area.

From Hangzhou: at local South Bus Terminal or Passenger Transport Center, take a bus to Putuo. Then follow the way above to Banshengdong dock for a ferry to ur destination.

And you can stay in the Putuoshan Hotel. It is very near to Puji Temple.
