About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

Is it possible to obtain a Chinese multiple-entry visa for business purposes after the first visit?

As we are establishing business relations and placing orders with Chinese suppliers we will need to travel more than twice in 6 months after our first visit to China. Should we apply for a single-entry 3 month type (or a double-entry 6 month type), then apply for a multiple entry 6-month one when we return so we can travel freely to maintain business relations?

Dianne, the embassies usually issue multiple-entry types if the applicants have previous visa records to China. You have very little chance of getting the multiple entry one if you don't have previous records. So you may apply for single or double entry one at first and then try to apply for the multiple-entry one.
