Luggage check-in in Hong Kong

We will be arriving in HK at 6:00 a.m. and will be staying for 1 night, leaving at 11:00 p.m. the next day. I would like to know if we have to take our luggage with us or can we leave them at the airport or will there be any locker available. How far is the airport from the Chinese University of HK?
