trip to inner mongolia where to start?

Hi im planning to go there in the october national holiday. I want a really natural, authentic experience, none of these fake 'authentic' experiences which are so common these days. about 10 days on tour. does anyone have an ideal itinery? definitely want to go stay in a yurt for a few days, maybe relax, hang out with the farmers, horse ride, camel ride etc. do you recommend booking a  tour or winging it, just know the places to get to (grasslands) how to get there and then find a yurt/local family on arrival? thanks!!

As for your case, I suggest you ask a travel agency to arrange you an independent tour. That is to say, they will arrange all the accommodation, transportation transfer, tour guide to arrange something detailed, but you can travel freely on your own. Sometimes, they would help you contact a local person/farmer for your better experience.
