We will visit on Queen Elisabeth cruise-ship for about 12 hours Shanghai next year. Can we also benefit from this 72 hours free stay. Entering and leaving port of Shanghai.

You are not qualified for 72 hours free transit because you don't fly in and out by air. However, you meet the requirement for 24 hours transit. So you needn't apply one in advance.
