Can I work if I have the foreigners' Permanent Residence Permit?

Hey thanks for the reply. Yes, i know i am not allowed to work in China on Q1, but i was asking if i can hold an office in India and stay in China with my spouse. If once you get the Foreigners Permanent Residence Permit, are you permitted to work? Though i heard getting this permanent residence permit is very difficult still i am curious.
