About:Ticket Types on High Speed Trains

Beijing to Shanghai - fly or train for short business trip

I need to go from Raffles Hotel in Bejing, to Yishan & Guilin Road intersection in Shanghai on August 13th for an afternoon meeting and dinner, and then I fly to Tokyo the next afternoon. Should I go by rail or by air from Beijing to Shanghai? I want to choose the option that is the most comfortable, safe and quick. Thanks for your advice!

Hi Maggie,
i suggest you go by air. you can catch an early morning flight at Beijing Capital airport (i sgguest a flight at 7a.m. or 8a.m.). Remember to take the flight from Beijing to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. i only takes two hours from Beijing to Shanghai.
