About:Beijing - Shanghai High Speed Train

Domestic flight or high speed train

I am going on a cruise leaving from Shanghai on the 3rd of September. I am planning to leave from Beijing to Shanghai on the 1st of September. With flights being cancelled on and off should I go by rail instead of flying to be on the safe side? If I plan to travel by rail can I wait to buy the ticket until 2 days before I leave?

flights before 9a.m. will not be canceled, so you can take an early flight.
if you plant to go by rail, you should book the ticket in advance, since September 1st is the day when the summer vacation ends for most schools and universities, and students travel back to schools. So railway tickets will be in large demand.
