Yes, the part at Lijiang side is the upper section of the whole gorge, which is a fine spot for hiking, for the valley is very steep and dangerous. You can enjoy the majestic scenery there. You can hire a car to the middle part of the gorge, where you can trek and have fun for 2-3 hours. It's also very interesting.
