As I know, maybe you can do it by mailing related documents to HK or applying online to apply for a copy of your birth certificate.
Before doing it, you are suggested to contact the The Births and Deaths General Register Office in HK and their phone number is (852) 2867 2785. The opening hours are Monday-Friday from 08:45 to 16:45 and Saturdays: 09:00 to 11:30.

How did it go when you call or visit the office? Can I prepared something before I go to HK?

Thanks!
