About:China Private Visit Visa

I am travelling to China on an X1 visa, can my wife apply along with me for an S1?

I currently reside in the United States and plan to move to China to study. My wife and I were hoping to leave the country together, so could we apply for the two at the same time? Also, can she work in China if she has an S1?

I am afraid that you cannot applying at the same time. Your residence permit in China is needed when she applys for the S1. The residence can be gotten after you go to Chinese Police Station for registration with your X1.

She cannot work with S1.
