invitation and support letter

Hi, a friend of mine invited me to visit Guangzhou China this August,He sent me his invitation letter, together with a photocopy of his chinese ID and bank certificates since he 'll be responsible for all of my expenses and accommodation including round trip airfair. My question is ,do I still need my own bank certificate/account statement? I dont have work certificate and ITR because I'm unemployed. Is there a possibility for me to be granted a tourist visa?

I hope someone can answer my questions .

Thank you so much

Yes, you still need to provide your bank statement/account statement if you are the first timer for applying.
If you can provide the bank statement including the at least past 6 months history of deposit to show your finance situation, it will not affect your application seriously. But whether you can get it in the end, the officer has the right to decide based on your requirements.
