Letter of completion and release later. Are they the same?

Is a letter of completion given by your employer is the same the release letter?
My letter of completion states I have finished my duty in the school on a certain date and sign and sealed by the principal. I'm confused whether is the same as the release letter.

Mit, I think the letter of completion is the same as the release letter.
