Does recent tourist visa affect transit visa?

If I travel in China on a 30 day tourist type, then fly to Taipei from Shanghai for two week holiday, can I return to Shanghai on a transit one to pick up my flight to London? And would I apply for this in advance in Shanghai or Taipei? Thanks

Hi, it is ok for you to avail this free transit in Shanghai. Just inform your airline about this request when check in then the free transit permit will be issued upon arrival at the airport.
