About:Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport

From Xiamen Gaoqi Airport to Shantou by long distance bus

Hi, I am arriving at the airport in the afternoon, is there a long distance bus service from
the airport direct to Shantou without going down to the city. What are the departure times and
travel time and how much would be the fare? Many thanks, regards/Lawrence from Singapore.

From the airport, there is no long-distance bus to Shantou, so you need to take bus from the city's South Hubin Long-distance Bus Station.

From the airport, you can take the shuttle bus Ferry Boat Line to reach local railway station and then take a taxi to South Hubin Long-distance Bus Station where you can find frequent buses to Shantou. The buses are from 07:10 to 21:10 with interval around half an hour. The bus fare is around 25RMB per adult. The bus journey takes around three hours.

Thanks Amy, your reply was most informative. Heard from a friend that previously there is a counter offering long-distance bus ticket inside the airport building in which they would transfer the pax to a holding station outside the airport for pick up by the long distance buses. Wonder if this service is still available. thanks once again. take care.

Hi, Lawrence. I also heard that kind of bus before, but when I reached there I did not find it.
I tried, but I feel a little bit hard to find it. So I just go downtown and use the long-distance buses to Shantou.
Maybe you can try to look for it. Sorry for that.
