Teaching school and things to do in Dongying

Hello,

I am considering a teaching opportunity at a school called Best Promise English School and I'm wondering if anyone has any information that I can be helpful for me.

Also, what are some great attractions to do in DY? Are there any gyms or any courts for basketball soccer anything like that available?

Yes, I heard this school and it enjoys good reputation in that city. It attaches importance to the English learning of children between 2 and 15 years old. What else do you wanna know?

Swan Lake is highly recommended to visit. It is only around 5km from the city center. Sun Wu Lake and Qingfeng Lake Park are also worth visiting. You can go to play basketball & football as well as exercise in the campus of China University of Petroleum.

Wow thanks so much for the information...I really appreciate it Mike.

I was told that it's really hard to find a one bedroom apartment in DY and that 2 bedrooms are roughly 15 000 rmb for the year? And that electricity, heat and water are really cheap (100 rmb a month) as well as internet (600 rmb) for the year. Are these numbers accurate?

And how clean are the apartments and the city itself?

Thanks so much

15000RMB can be used to rent a double bedroom apartment in that city and your living stardard will be pretty well. For this price, the apartment will be clean and well conditioned. The city is not very large, but easy and comfortable.

Have you gone to work at the school already? I am supposed to start there in a month or so, and I am concerned about lack of information also.

Hi.

I'm also considering working with Best Promise English school. Do you have their contact information? The recruiter was asking me $500 for the Foreign Expert certificate which is a red flag considering that the certificate is free (according to google).

Hi Rawshan. I was also offered a job at Best Promise English. I'm also concerned regarding the lack of information. Did you end up going? Is it legit?
