Fastest way from guangzhou to xiantao

If I want to travel by bullet train/ railway from guangzhou to xiantao, Is the most convenient way taking to Hankou from guangzhou (G1022 seems to be the only train that takes 5 hours) then from Hankou SAME STATION take another train to Xiantao West (B3007 52min)?

It seems the more convenient then going Wuhan railway station as I don't need to take airport shuttle to jinjiadun (40min) then take bus (3hours) to xiantao. Please advise if my research is correct or if there is anything I need to take note of?
