About:Shantou Travel

half day tour from Shantou city to Nan'ao island then evening transferred to Chaozhou city

is the causeway bridge to Nan'ao island already completed? We are total of 14persons. Any suggestion for cheaper price to do half day tour ? Thanks. Rudi

The bridge hasn’t been finished yet, so the best way to Nan’ao Island is to take the ferry ship at Laiwu Ferry Terminal. The fare is CNY 20 for return ticket per person. The last returning ferry from the Island is at 19:00. Then you can take the long-distance bus to Chaozhou at ST Coach Station. If it’s too late for bus, you can take a taxi.

thanks Maciu for your prompt reply. Another source said the last returning ferry from the island is at 17:20. You said 19:00. Sorry, which one is correct? Are buses to CZ available from Laiwu port, since separated taxis won't be convenient for total of us, 14persons. OR.... any suggest for reliable car rental in ST? Many thanks!

Sorry, the last returning ferry is at 18:00 according to the latest info. From Laiwu Port, there is no direct bus to Chaozhou. Considering 14 of you, you can rent a van to CZ, for it saves much trouble.

Yes, at the port, there are many private vans for rental which are owned by local people. Just make a deal about the fare before hopping on the van.
