About:Embassy & Consulate of South Africa in China

New passport application

Hi. I am a South African living and working in Foshan, Guangdong, and need to apply for a new South African Maxi passport as my current passport is almost full. How can I apply for this passport in China and how long does it take (without me having to go back to South Africa)?

Yuri, you may go to the consulate of South Africa in Shanghai to apply for a new one. The address is Room 2706, the Bund Center, No.220 Yan'an East Road, Shanghai. For more details, please call 021 5359 4977.

The easiest way for you to get a new Maxi passport is to go to the consulate in HK. I got mine that way.
