About:Chinese Embassy in Brunei

Holding malaysia passport, stayed in brunei.

Do I have to apply china visa when I'm holding malaysia passport? (Visit china for 7 days )

Yes, sure. You have to apply for it in advance from Chinese embassy in Brunei.
