About:Passport

Is there anyway the 6 month rule can be waived is she doesn't receive her new passport in time?

my wife and I are visiting china in sept. 2014, going to beijing, xian and shanghai
mywife's passport has 5 months and a few days validity when we arrive in china
she has applied for a new passport in trinidad, end of may, but there is industrial strike occuring , stopping the production of passports

Hi, passport is required to be valid for more than 6 months when you submit your application to Chinese embassy. But once you get it issued, a passport valid less than 6 months is ok for entry.
