About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

What kind of visa for two conferences in different years.

The conferences will be between Oct 2013 and Oct 2014. He is professor and will give talks at both conferences. What time of it should he apply for and how much information is needed. i.e. specific travel dates, flights, hotel, etc or just the general dates of the first conference?

2013? and 2014? He may need to apply two F type twice with single entry before each conference.
His passport, application form with recent taken photo and invitation letter from the conference's organizing committee are needed for applying.

Hi, if he has invitation letters from both meetings, then it is ok for him to apply for a double entry valid for 6 months.

His first conference is in Oct 2014 the second in Mar or Apr 2015. Does a multi entry visa cover this time period? If he has invitation letters from both meetings will that be sufficient other than the application, picture, etc?
