About:China Visa Application in USA

What information or documents do I need to bring when applying for a one time visa?

I work for the airlines and have an upcoming meeting in Shanghai. I do not have a ticket yet but have a hotel reservation. Besides passport and application form do I need to bring other documents for applying?

Since you will attend a meeting, an invitation letter is needed from the meeting's committee or from your airline company, besides your passport, application form and photo.
