Traveling within the first month of arrival

Hi there!

My problem is this. Last time I applied for a visit visa in April I enquired about a future application for a X1 type (student). I explained my situation at the center in Stockholm and was told that I could get a student type with two entries. I will initially arrive in China on Aug 20, go back to Sweden for a wedding Sep 10, and then arrive back in China Sep 15 and apply for residency Sep 18, when the university is organising a special day for this.

When I tried to submit my X1 application at the center in Gothenburg I was told that I can’t get a X1 with two entries, and that I should apply for a visit type for the first period between Aug 20-Sep 10, and while I’m in Stockholm apply for my X1. In my almost OCD-like mind of planning well ahead of time, that time window is less than narrow.

Does anyone have a better solution than what the center suggested?

If you already planned to enter China in August 20 and then re-enter in Sep., you need to apply for a L one for the first time and X1 for the second entry.

According to the rules, no X1 with double entries can be got. If you just want to apply once, you are suggested to go there some days later, maybe after the wedding.

You are right. Probably, it is hard to get the X1 within 4 days in case of there is a weekend. If so, you may need to go to China later and only apply X1 once after wedding.

My worries are that they won't be able to process the X1 in the 4 days they say, during the wedding visit.

And, i have to be at the university for registration Sep 5... and i can't hold two visas at one, not even in different passports.
