F visa converted into L type

Hi, I am currently in China with an F type which expires one day before my flight back home (bad maths and few problems on the way). The organization which issued my invitation letter won't help me, so I would like to get an L extention, or conversion. Is it possible? Thank you!

I think it's possible for you to apply for the L type from the local entry and exit management bureau. You need to prepare your passport, filled application form affixed with a recent passport photo and temporary accommodation registration form (if you stay at the hotel that is allowed to receive foreigners, you need to ask the hotel give you an accommodation proof).

PS: you need to provide a Chinese bank account that has 3000 USD or 21000 RMB inside.

Thank you Vera! My last question is: if what if I have an invitation letter from a chinese friend? Do I still need te 21000 yuan on my account or is it ok if he has that amount on his bank account? I think this can be an option since it's only for 1 day extention but I am not so sure..

It is not necessary if you have an invitation letter, for such a short extension. Don't worry, your flight ticket for leaving is helpful either.
