UK citizen applying for a Chinese tourist visa in Lima

Hi, I am a UK citizen currently travelling in Peru and travelling to China in under 2 months. I will not be returning to the UK in this time. Is it possible for me to apply in Lima? As I left the UK more than 3 months before visiting China it was not possible for me to obtain one from there. Please can anyone advise? Thanks

People who want to apply in the third country must provide their legal status of stay or resident permit. If you have legal status in Lima, then I think you may apply there. However, it doesn't mean that you can apply for it successfully there. The consular officers have the final say.
