About:How to Apply for a China Visa

Hello, I am an Australian citizen applying for a first chinese tourist visa in Rome.

Hi,
I am an Australian living in Rome and I have the residence permit here so I can apply for the tourist L but I heard if I'm not applying in my home country I can't get a very long stay in China. My french boyfriend lives and works in Shanghai and I want to get a double entry 6 month one (I'm guessing I will need to leave every 30 days) I will travel back to rome with these double entries and then back. If I post my passport back to Australia and ask my aunt to get it in your opinion will I get longer or is it not worth it?. Thanks, Hannah

Hi, you can apply in Rome without problem, and it is not worth to post back your application to Austalia in this case. You can provide an invitation letter from your boyfriend showing details such as address, purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, and so on. Even though you get a short one, you can get it extended when you are in China.
