American Citizen w/ 90-day Tourist visa in Korea can I apply from Korea?

I am an American who has been in and out of South Korea for the past year. I am staying on a 90-day tourist one but I need to go to Beijing in October to begin work. Should I wait till late August when I return to the states to apply or should I try to apply now while in Korea? Thanks for your help!

Hi, you can wait and apply for it in August in the USA for a working Z type. It is valid for 3 months only from issue date, so it is too early to apply now.

So, 180 day multiple entry means it can be valid for a half year for entry, it is ok to apply now in South Korea.
