what is the easiest way to get from badaling great wall to the summer palace?

I want to go the Badaling Great Wall VERY early in the morning and then go to the Summer Palace. I am looking for the easiest,fastest and cheapest way to transfer between the 2. Any help is appreciated.I need bus/train times/#'s,duration and cost please. Thank you

Dale, you can take S2 back to Beijing North Railway Station. Then you can walk to Xizhimen subway station and change subway line 4 to get off at Beigongmen Station. Then walk toward west for around 300 meters to reach the North Gate of Summer Palace. This is the easiest way. The ticket for S2 train is around CNY 6. The ticket for subway line 4 is CNY 2.
