must the marriage certificate be notarized by a notary publicin the chinese embassy

i'm a nigerian and would like to apply for a family visa to visit my wife who is residing in china. Our marriage is registered in Nigeria. where and how to notarize the marriage certificate and what are the requiered documents? Your response is highly appreciated.

Hi, as I know, the marriage certificate is not required for authentication. But you are advised to contact the embassy for confirmation. If you plan to visit your wife, an invitation letter from her as well as copies of her passport and residence permit are required. So, you'd better to visit Chinese embassy in person for this.
