how to go to badaling from the airport?

Hello, I have only one day to spend in Beijing and would like to know how to go to Badaling from the airport, maybe passing trough the city on the way back to the airport after the tour there? Thanks!

Eric, you can take airport express to get off at Dongzhimen. There you can change subway line 2 to Xizhimen Station. Then you walk to Beijing North Railway Station to take S2 train to Badaling. It takes around 2.5 hours. For your return trip, you can take S2 train back to Beijing North, change subway line 2 at Xizhimen and get off at Dongzhimen. There you can take airport express back to the airport.

About how much did all this cost you? I'm about to take this same trip tomorrow and it would help to know how much I'm looking at spending.

It costs CNY 25 to take the airport express, CNY 2 for the subway line 2 and CNY 6 for S2 train. So the transportation fee is CNY 66 for a round trip.
