Hostel availability and crowdness on Huashan Mountain

Hi, I have two questions:

- Is it possible to arrange a room on the east peak once I get there, or should this be arranged in advance?
- Is the mountain very crowdy? In that case I would consider to book a room in a hostel at the foot of the mountain and start to climb very early in order to avoid the crowd
