Renewing Family Reunion Residence Permit and problems with the required documents

I'm already on a 1 Year family reunion residence permit (my wife is China National). When I got my residence permit last year I did my health examination but I did not submit any document showing my financial status. I now have 3 questions:
1. Do I need to do the health examination once again for renewing my residence permit?
2. Do I need to have any proof of financial status for renewing the permit?
3. If I need the proof of financial status then if I don't have any income but I have enough money in my bank account in my home country in Europe, is that acceptable?

To answer your Questions:

1. Maybe, you might need a new health Check. ask the PSB directly by walking into their office.
2. Sometimes yes and Sometimes no: But Better have it prepared if you want a longer RP.
3. NO, The money must be in your Chinese wife's account because your wife is your supporter and it must be in a Chinese bank with printed bank statements.

We can't answer your first two questions because all cities do things differently and it depends on the officer handling your case.

Thanks Jackson,

I'm not in China at the moment and we tried to contact them quite a few times and each time we got different answers.
As I'm planning my trip back to China I needed to know how long should I stay there in case things don't go well.
As far as I know it's required by the new rules to apply for an extension 1month before the current RP expires, but when I called, they told me I need to go there only 7days before it expires and the next time we called they said, 1month in advance is the right one. do you have any experience in that?
She told us, even if they accept my application 1month in advance they can only give me 11 months which with the 1 month remaining on my my current permit becomes 12months. (but what I heard before from a lawyer in BJ, he told me they add 12 months to your current permit which becomes 13months totally. It's really important for me as if they only give me 11 months, then I can't come back to china around that time to renew my RP next year.)
Thank you in advance

Remember all cities are handled differently and even different people will get a different length on their RP's when it comes to Q visa's, it's like the lotto. Take the 11 months and never worry, the RP is renewable and after 11 months I'm willing to bet you that they will give you a 2 year RP next. Yes she is correct new rules require to rerun 7 days before it ends.. I think its best to get your RP canceled now in your country and then apply for a Q1 now. If it takes too much time then just come back on your current RP.
