What permission should I apply for to take a sword to China from Europe?

State controlled cutting tools: daggers, three-square tools, backsword or double-edged sword that is longer than a dagger

Kris, all these knives and swords you mentioned are not allowed to enter China. You shouldn't take them with you if you plan to enter China. Otherwise, you will have trouble when passing the security checkpoint at the airport.
