Bringing wooden sticks/bats/swords

I have a few wooden Japanese swords used for practicing and performance purposes and I hope to take some with me when I go to China for university. They are between 30 and 75 cm in length. Would I be allowed to take them in to China, or would they be considered weapons? Thanks

Well, as I know, you need to put them into the checked luggage. If necessary, you need to declare them at the custom.
