Are Shanghai taxi drivers courteous?
or they will cheat you simply because you are a foreigner?

Well, most of them are courteous, but still there are a few cheating travelers from other regions of China, let alone foreign travelers. So I suggest take an official taxi and ask the driver to charge by meter.0
