do i need a visa for staying 15 hours in beijing????

my husband is coming from US. he is going to have a 15 hours overlay in beijing, and we decided im going to meet him there. I am from philippines holding a US passport. I dont know if i am qualified as a transit even though ive got a ticket leaving the same time as my husband going back to philippines.

No, you need to apply for a Chinese visa in advance if you fly round trip, say Phillippines -Beijing- Philippines. Your husband is able to get free transit permit if he will fly to a third country via Beijing.
