can a us citizen currently in switzerland get an expedited chinese visa

I am a US citizen currently in Switzerland on business and must make a unexpected trip to China for contract negotiations.  Is it possible to get it expedited in Bern?  (same day would be preferred as I will be traveling there from Geneva)

Hi, you can apply in Bern as long as you have B,C or L residence permit there. Otherwise, it is not allowed. BTW, the processing takes 4 working days, and no express service or rush service available since July 2012. You can contact the embassy directly for more details.
