TWOV for 72hrs 35mins stay?

Hi! I will be travelling from the USA to Beijing and then to Tokyo. I will be in Beijing(according to my flight itinerary for exactly 72 hours and 35 minutes). I realize there is a 72 hour limit for TWOV-- is there any special consideration or do I need to apply for the standard Visa? Thanks in advance!

Hi, personally I think it is ok because the 72 hour free stay starts from 00:00 of the following day. You can contact your carrier airline for confirmation. If the airline allowes this, it will be fine for the free transit in Beijing.
