Fresh Fruits hand carried out of China's airport.

I was told by the china local guide that fresh fruits are not allowed to be hand carried out of china's airport. If we buy the fruits, they will be confiscated at the immigration. Is it true?

James, China Customs/Immigration won't confiscate your fruits. It fully depends on how the immigration department of your destination country deals with fruits. You are allowed to bring fruits on board. However, if your destination country doesn't allow you to take fruits, then you may figure out how to deal with your fruits.
