About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shanghai for 48 hours - UK Passport, do I need a visa before arrival?

Hi there, I have a UK passport and was planning to visit Shanghai for just 48 hours sight-seeing. I will be travelling Manila-Shanghai-Manila with no other stops planned. Thanks for your help

Yes, you need to apply for a Chinese tourist L type in advance for this visit.
