About:China Visa Application in UK

UK citizen application from abroad

I am a UK citizen currently working abroad (Switzerland). I need to go to China to visit a friend and would need to take a return flight from Switzerland rathe than return to London before flying to China. Can I apply by post from Switzerland and have my application and passport posted back to me here? And what other options are there? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, you have to provide residence permit in Switzerland if you want to apply there, and also G residence permit is not acceptable. And as I know, the embassy does not accept application by post.
