About:Badaling Great Wall

How to travel to Badaling and Ming Tomb?

I will be staying in the Tiananmen area. I wish to visit the Great Wall and the Ming Tomb. Could someone kindly advise me. Train or bus is easier?

At Tiananmen East or West, take subway line 1 to Fuxingmen, where transfer to line 2 to Xizhimen. Then walk to Beijing North Train Station to take a train to Badaling.

After visiting the wall, you can take bus no. 879 to Changling or Dingling, either of which is the part of Ming Tombs.

The bus is cheapest. Also easy. You get a Chinese tourist talk also. We took a taxi to and from the bus station though. The bus drops off and picks up very close. 877. Less than one hour and air conditioned.
