my birthday in on 18th apr 1987 and my boyfriend birthday is on 20th may 1980

we were in relationship for 5 yrs we have faced many up and down because of his anger so i dont want to continue with him now my family start searching boy for me and he is not ready to leave me i cant tell my family about him i m scared and he is blackmailing me, is it ok if i get married with someone else without telling him, will he create a problem?
