About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I currently have a Z visa, can I go to Hong Kong and get an L?

I am working in China and have a Z working visa which will expire at the end of the month.
I want a tourist L for the sole purpose of travelling. Can I go to Hong Kong near the end of June and apply for a L - tourist? What is the standard number of days issued in this circumstance? I am a British national.
Thanks!

Hi, it is heard that the application in HK as non-resident is difficult now. So better contact a travel agency first before leaving.

Also, if your work Z will finish soon, you can visit the local Exit-Entry Administration of PSB for extension of your stay, generally, it can be issued for one more month.
