Transit Visa in Kunming, China

I will be travelling with family on China Eastern Airlines and I have stay in Kunming 12 hours in transit airline will provide us hotel. So Do I need transit G if hotel is confirmed outside airport. Please let me know.

No, it is not necessary. You just need to apply for a free stay permit at the airport directly if you need to go out for a hotel.
