Train luggage

Hello,
I am studying at Xiang'an campus of Xiamen University then after my programme has ended travelling to Shanghai and Beijing, is it easier to get a plane or train? And I'll have a 20kg suitcase and a large handbag/carrycase is this over the limit? Will there be buses from the University campus to Xiamen North Railway Station and where can I book tickets?
Thanks,
Lowri

both trains and flights are available from Xiamen to Shanghai.
the weight limit for luggage is 20 kg, but no one will check it, so it is ok for you to carry them.
yes, there is bus from the campus to the station. you can take bus No. 790 from the Xiamen University Main Entrance West bus stop to the railway station directly.
you can book via online agent and have the tickets delivered to you or pick up at the station with your passport.
or you can book through the official ticketing site, 12306.cn, which only has Chinese version and requires Chinese mobile phone number and bank account that can make payment online.
