About:Lijiang Travel

Weather in the area of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri La and Lijiang in June/July..

Would be thankful if anyone can give a hint on what the climate here is like in June/July. Is it colder than it is in lower places? Greater chance of rain, or more substantial downpours? Are they frequent? For instance, in Northern Vietnam you can get wet all through if you get into rain while ascending Mt Fansipan. Maybe it makes sense to wear rubber boots when trekking the Tiger Leaping Gorge? And is it mostly windy on the trail (if someone ever knows)? Thanks to all of you in advance:)

It will be hot in June and July and the average temperature is around 15 to 25C in that time.

It may rain, but the rain will last in temporary. The rain coat is suggested to take, but you do need to worry about getting all wet.

The sports shoes or treckking shoes are enough for trekking the gorge. It is not windy on the trail. Please enjoy your trip ~
